The Srimad Ramayana exhibition at Shankara Giri, Sringeri, presents the epic through a series of Pattachitra paintings arranged as a continuous narrative. Using a modular panel system and a clear sequential layout, the exhibition allows visitors to walk through the story at an unhurried pace. Exhibition marks as the beginning of Shankara Giri complex as a curated stories to visitors in Sringeri

The Srimad Ramayana exhibition at Shankara Giri was designed to explore the narrative order using traditional art form of PattaChitra . A modular panel system presented 83 Pattachitra paintings in sequence, allowing the space to read as a continuous visual narrative. Drawing from the traditional Pattachitra grid system, the panels adapted across scales while maintaining coherence. Lightweight, stackable construction allowed flexibility across venues, supported by single-sentence summaries in Kannada and English that helped visitors follow the Ramayana with ease.
The exhibition also revealed the making of the works. The artist demonstrated the Pattachitra process on site, introducing materials and techniques, while simple activities—colouring sheets, games, and puzzles based on the Ramayana—encouraged engagement, particularly for children. Together, these elements framed the exhibition as both a narrative walkthrough and an introduction to a living visual tradition.
