Editorial Design
Our layout highlights the distinct character of each classical text while catering to the needs of readers. To make these works accessible, we adopted a facing-page translation format, where the Sanskrit or Devanagari text and its translation appear side by side—benefiting readers, a large percentage of whom cannot read Sanskrit.
This user-centered design approach is part of a comprehensive system we developed for the Indica Classical Library, encompassing paragraph width, styles, and typography. Together, these elements provide a consistent and accessible visual experience for readers of Indian classics
